Carnyx Wild (Carnyx Films) have been producing wildlife documentaries and programme sequences for UK broadcasters since 1997. The first BBC programme filmed and Directed by Dr Manuel Hinge was 'Ytene, England's Ancient Forest' in 1995. Since then, Manuel has made BBC wildlife documentaries in his own right on Watervole, Pine Marten and Wild Boar.

Along with Peter Dobson, Carnyx Wild have produced a raft of presenter led Natural History programmes for BBC, working with Professor Aubrey Manning, Chris Packham and Sir David Attenborough. Currently in production is an extensive 6 part series about the largest area of ancient trees in Western Europe.

🎬One of four short films made for BBC, looking at the wildlife and changing climate in Southern England. This episode follows Chris Packham's intrepid search for winter wildlife migrants.

Chris heads off to the coast to find Brent Geese, and Dunlin before moving in land to study Berwick's Swan. In the New Forest he finds Brambling feeding on Beech Mast. The last two species are both a surprise and a challenge: Waxwing and Great Grey Shrike.

'Ytene' (An ancient name for the New Forest), explores the wildlife and heritage of an area that is home to wild ponies, fallow deer, badgers and foxes. Plus some more elusive species, such as firecrests, hawfinches and woodlark. Underlined with historical re-enactment to emphasise the change from 10,000 years ago, through mediaeval times to the present.
