To design and install a bespoke camera system for monitoring Curlew nests. The system comprises a miniature HD camera and microphone on a small spike that can be quickly and easily installed on a nest. The single cable can reach up to 80 metres to the batteries and network transmitter.

All the equipment is low voltage and extremely economic with it's power requirements. The batteries last 7 days before needing a change over. With new batteries attached, the system restarts without any input from the user.

The live video can be transmitted several kilometres to a suitable network or broadband access point. From here it is sent to the Carnyx Wild Streaming Server where it is recorded and distributed live onto the internet.
